Heh, there is absolutely no doubt now that Squee's fully recovered and developing well. I'd estimate him to weigh 500g now, but 2 month old kittens are supposed to be near 1 kilo. Still quite a bit of catching up to do. He's not skinny, getting more difficult to feel his ribs, but he's just SMALL. However, he's frisky, has a healthy (albeit insatiable) appetite, paws have taken on a deep rosy hue instead of the initial pale milky pink (Very very pleased about that, was anticipating it such for a looonng time). Oh, and he's... urm... pretty much got a mind of his own. Orphaned kittens tend to be more timid and dependent? Hrmph. So THEY say. He must be an exception. When indignant or displeased, he makes this half-cough, half-sneeze lunge at the source of annoyance. Somewhat like a short, sharp 'kack!' sound. Hehe, and he did it right at my mum this morning when she was talking to him, that impertinent imp. And he DOESN'T KNOW THE MEANING OF FEAR. He scampers all over the place, and right under a paw's swipe of Richie (who would already be throwing a hissy fit, literally). Plus he's insistent on exploring the balcony. Just between you and me, I've already found him on the ledge staring 22 storeys down (after turning my back to put back some stuff. He's super fast!). I shudder to think what would have happened if I were a second late. Not that he doesn't know how to gauge height, but I wouldn't want to risk it. Of all kittens, why did I have to pick up such a willful character? Sheesh.
Wish I had a videocam or something to record his wrestling/playtime moments. They can be pretty amusing at times, especially when he does this pseudo-slow motion pounce over a toy, a la Trinity in The Matrix. Haha, my dad said I'd end up with a crazed cat if I continue keeping Squee in the loo for long periods of time, with nothing but 4 walls to stare at. I think not. He's got toys aplenty to amuse himself with. Besides, loo lock-ups or not, I think he's already crazed... *grin*
