FINE. I've finished reading the rest of Jane Eyre in one sitting, after 3 days of complete abstinence. *mutters to self* There, happy now? Your eyes are paying for this, you know...

A near-typical romance classic. Orphan abused, orphan sent to charity school, orphan grows up sane and well-adjusted despite 'traumatising' childhood experiences, orphan earns a decent living, etc etc, and finally orphan falls in love!!! (Oh my, so exciting.) But of course, orphan doesn't get married and live happily ever after that, no Siree! See, that's only half the story. Sort of. Well, enough about Jane Eyre, though the book did get me thinking about some stuff. The middle part was the most engaging bit but the ending could have been slightly more well-written. But as it is, novels being what they are... =)

And in case you're wondering... *eyes dart furtively around* No. I'm not a sappy-happy doodle of a romance whore.
