Forgot to bring my keys and only realised it when I reached the door. Thank God my mum decided to come home from work instead of me having to make my way to her workplace to get the keys. Was already annoyed with myself cause I'd planned to take a nap once I got home before starting on work (and gee, where WAS he when he could actually be useful for once?).

Getting locked out of the flat, in the evening at that, also meant 'forced' contact with my neighbours. Considering that I'm extremely introverted at home, it was a rather odd 20-min experience. The secondary school age girl living opposite me and her maid smiling and asking me if I'd forgetten my keys (there's also a younger boy with oh-so-cute eyes and curly hair, but when the 3 siblings start shrieking at each other...), and the neighbour living next door offering to let me wait at their place till my mum got back (I hardly see him around since he completed NS). Heh. Nothing unusual but it felt a little weird. Also made me wish I've been more outgoing and friendly with them, rather than giving just the stiff-smile-glance-away reaction.

Individual lives, all shouldering their own responsibilities and aspirations, each with their ever-expanding network of contacts outside. Yet so secluded and kept within the walls of their homes.
