Stagnation. My mind has been in stagnation far too long.

It's led to a loss of the senses of awe, wonder, and curiousity. Rarely now, do I find myself eager to delve deeper into the mysteries of what I learn. Hardly anything arouses my interest now. Vaguely recall what it felt like for my mind to probe and question, alert and energetic, eager to understand a little more than what was presented on paper. Can't remember the last time it's done so. It's all a matter of ploughing through and thereby washing my hands clean of that particular piece of work and moving on to the next one (if I ever complete the former, that is). Just like a leaf floating impassionately along on a body of water.

Went for a one-hour talk by Ravi Zacharias on campus. Now there's something that had me absorbed today. One of those rare individuals blessed with the capability to comprehend the questions posed by 'intellectuals' and swiftly formulate a proper reply, instead of beating around the bush and arriving at some vague answer. Unfortunately, the guy was so good (and so powder-ful in his England) that I got lost during his rebuttal to the last question before he had to end the talk. Nevertheless, am impressed and interested to get my hands on some of his books.

Please... Let my hols be more fruitful than the past 3 months have been.
