The Adventures of Plopper
Dawn breaks. I try to rouse a fellow groupmate from his slumber after 8 hours on the bus. *woof!*
Looking out for the campsite, Taman Lakeview.
And there it is! (Notice the cabbage patch right in front. All our veggies were grown on site.)
Glenville, aka chalet 10. My residence with 11 others for the next 5.5 days.
I love swings! Did I ever tell you how much I
love swings? This was taken on the swing as it was going up. Whee!
And over the next 5 days...
Meditating on the Word of God in the crisp morning air (and on a swing). Made me feel like a young puppy once again and I yearned to explore the rustic vicinity whenever I was outside. *whines longingly*
Also did bible study as a group before each exposition session, sharing about our own experiences and praying for one another. Here I am getting... urm.. prayed for.
There was also this puppy living on the campsite! The girls lavished more attention on her than they did on me. *Hrmph*
We were blessed to have Dr David Harley from OMF take charge of the expositions, covering
John 14 - 17 across 4 days.
There were lotsa people (120!) to interact (read: play) with...
... but there were also some very queer characters hanging around... *shudder*
Exploring the landscape...
And after a day of study and workshops and fellowship, off I snuggled into my sleeping bag for beddy byes. It could get terribly cold at night... *brrrrf*
Homeward Bound
So while Anntic 2004 gave me a lot of food for thought, it was also great fun, what with the people and the wonderful weather and the insane games some people play on long bus rides. But home I am once again, and none the sadder for it. *rowf!*
