gloom.

Listening to I Salonisti's Nearer My God to Thee (the piece that the string quartet played in Titanic as the ship sank) and it's making me feel a lot sadder within. Well done. Now Fievel's reedy voice pops up to exacerbate the emotion.

The world has gone mad. Or perhaps I have.

But today should be set aside as a day of joy and celebration.

The musicians played in a bid to dispel the fearful atmosphere and bring comfort to the doomed passengers (and themselves!), dark and onminous as the choice of song was at that moment.

"Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
Darkness be over me, my rest a stone.
Yet in my dreams I’d be nearer, my God, to Thee."

And so I plead, let it be as such for me...

"Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight."
