ramble ramble
It sure has been a long time since I've woken up to the irritating screech of my alarm clock. So anyway, tumbled out of bed at 545am cos I'd to send R off at the airport. Had arranged to carpool at KAP with a couple of churchmates, but I got mixed up with the bus numbers and I ended up on a 156 instead of a 154. Most scatterbrained of me really, when I had been given clear instructions the night before, thrown in with a couple of other (now) obvious signs that I should have regarded before I boarded the wrong bus. (And I call myself a morning person!!!)Yesh... Thank goodness Sixth Ave wasn't too far off from the route to Changi Airport. Felt like sticking my head in the sand for my blurness. =/ That said (but not done), we got to the airport in time, heh. Side note: The standard of SIA air stewardesses has dropped dropped dropped. Gone are the days of the glam and sleek image. Now they just look... made-up and floozy. Bleah. Moving on...
Got to church in time for svc.
Perk-me-up moment for the day: Gail toddled over when I squatted down to say hi and her watchful eyes immediately zoomed in on my necklace. She reached out a half-hesitant hand to clutch it whilst giving me that big-eyed look which might very well have said "Ooooh, could I have this?" (Sorry dearie, 'fraid not!) Anyways, what stole my heart was the way she held and examined it with that endearing curiousity that toddlers possess. So cute! Hee... She's such a mommy's girl, and it's especially heart-warming to see her run back to the safety of her mother's knees with glee after every few minutes of entertaining/exploiting the members of her fan club. =p
