Requiem

Received nerve-shattering news last night, but not inclined to blog about it. Just 2 words: Thank God. And how about 3 more: Upset and angry.

In memory of Plaa,
23rd March 2004 ~ 10th June 2005
who sat by my desk
and blew bubbles
whilst keeping me company

The empty spot where the tank used to be is well... empty. I've no idea what to fill up that corner with. He died of some kind of kidney infection, otherwise commonly known as dropsy (Specifically for siamese fighting fish. Don't go around telling your relatives that your aunt has dropsy or something like that.) Easy to diagnose in them fish - their scales pop up, making them look like mini pinecones. Guilty at having had to see him suffer in the past few weeks, it all started with that chronic constipation and a grossly swollen abdomen. But just so you know, I'm perfectly fine. A fish is just a fish after all. Gave him a very dignified burial with a flush down the toilet bowl. Eurgh.
