Thump thump thump.
Finally understood what having your heart in your mouth feels like. 'orrible. Spent 3 solid hours at the school library computer working on my part of the project for Postwar Japanese Film and Anime, meticulously clicking the 'save' button after every few sentences, only to happily stroll
out of the library without uploading the file when I'd decided to call it a day. And to think that I was making sure that all the stuff strewn about the table was carefully packed into my bag before I left! Doh... By the sheer providence of God, I suddenly remembered about
not having uploaded that precious file just as I was heading towards the bus stop. Yes, I stand by the claim that it was "precious". Believe me, it would totally, utterly, suck, to go through scene after scene of that anime in my mind again, just to rewrite the few paragraphs from scratch. The realisation was enough to set my heart beating like crazy even though I only walked briskly back... urgh. Think the guy who took over the com I'd been using must have been stunned at being interrupted by this short-of-breath, wild-eyed girl blabbering about some forgotten file, but he was really gracious about the whole matter of giving up the com for a while. And yeah, the file was still sitting inconspicuously on the desktop where I'd saved it. Phew. Most definitely had my portion of excitement for the day. And more.
