Finished The Fifth Elephant over a lunch of unagi and brown rice with fresh veggies on the side before making my way down to the central library to do a spot of independent film study (IFS). Watched To Sir, With Love. Tuition cancelled. Yayness. Followed up TSWL with Last Life In The Universe (pace of which is similar to that of Lost In Translation). I really really really like it, even though I failed to finish the film before they locked up the AV room. This calls for a continuation of IFS tomorrow morning.

Made the most out of my (still valid) student card by borrowing more books to pile on my desk for perusal. It has occured to me of late that the unemployed grad has an immense amount of FREE time at hand. 3 more classics by Thomas Hardy, and 2 slim guides to marine life in Singapore.

Walked out of the library to a world washed clean by rain. It felt like I'd just given myself a good stretch after waking up from a really comfy nap.
