So there's this kitten who has taken up residence at the NUS science canteen. And quite a pretty one it is. Lovely straight and slim tail with no kink.
I long so much to adopt it (well, it's a 'she'), despite her horribly raspy mews. Alas, though she doesn't mind being NEAR humans, she can't tolerate so much as a hand reaching out to pat her. Plus it's not a feasible idea to take in another cat. Sigh. Oh well.
Candice and I went down to
The Third Place to listen to
Parousia perform (*whee!*). There were also 2 guest bands today - A J-Rock band that went by the name Improved Natural, and the other, a punkish group, Turn The Tap. Parousia, a delight as always. But I'll focus on talking about the J-Rock band. I've never seen a more dead drummer than that guy Sho(?). I mean, as Candice pointed out, if you closed your eyes and concentrated on the music, you'd easily imagine him dealing out the beats with reckless energy. But noooo... Sho was drumming away with such lack of expression and body language that it bordered on comical. The same went for the rest of the band. Bassist, e-guitarist, keyboardist... All working skillfully at their instruments, yet with the same monotonous expression. The singer sounded constipated, but the music was good on the whole.
It is late. And I am tired. I'll leave you with these measly pickings:
