My much revered Ajarn Nuu has been replaced with another Ajarn, whose name I've even failed to commit to memory. Well, this Ajarn's rather dowdy and although she takes the class at a far slower pace than Ajarn Nuu, I don't consider that as compensation. *crestfallen sigh* But as with the other Ajarns this semester, she too, has a quirk - She chooses to designate us chii len (nicknames), all of which are the Thai words for Monday to Sunday, and January to December... O...o

I am henceforth known as thanwaakhom (December) in Thai conversation class on Mondays. Doh.
