Was in such a foul mood this morning that I shocked myself with the edgy responses I gave to 2 of my managers. I'm normally very even-tempered at work (honest!), so the sudden spike in temperament was something that worried me no end.

Clung to tenterhooks until lunch, during which I had a quick meal of beehoon soup before popping into the Times bookshop to get a breather.

I've found a secret sanctum away from the office cube - who would have figured that a bookstore could be therapy for the grumpy office worker?

Back to the cube with a $1.50 cuppucino, in a far more upbeat and lucid mood to take on the rest of the day.

My mum just further brightened my mood with her SMS: Bought nice indian dinner come home early.

Man. And I'd thought the day was destined to suck. :)
